Straight from the heart and soul of the Montessori curriculum, The Perch covers the four areas of learning; exercises of practical life, sensorial activities, language, and arithmetic. In addition, the Birdlings participate in storytelling, songs, basic science, art and craft activities all supported by the Wise Owls.

EPL (Exercises of Practical Life) are the very heart of Montessori education as they present real life activities with real apparatus creating a bridge between the home and the school environment.
SENSORIAL
CONCEPTS
Sensorial learning is a teaching approach that stimulates the child's five senses; taste, touch, smell, sight, and hearing. This allows children to use their senses to explore and understand the world around them.
NUMBER
WORK
Introduction to numbers. Quantity first, symbol next, followed by their association.
LANGUAGE
ENRICHMENT
Introduces oral activities while encouraging order, orientation, and therefore independence by ensuring the child knows the names of the objects in the environment.

I have known Asfia for over 15 years, first as a parent, then as a teacher. It has been a privilege to work with her. She teaches children with love and displays endless affection toward them.
